Alfie came to the yard shortly after Jo and Badger arrived. He was taken from his mum at an auction and was due to be slaughtered. A friend of Nigel's took him in but someone kept letting him out of his field where he had access to a main road. He was found loose on this road a number of times. Nigel took him in so that he could keep him safe without the risk of him ending up on a main road where he could be severely injured or worse.

Despite arriving after Jo and Badger, Alfie very quickly became attached to Jo and they are always seen side by side, never apart.
